Zombieland ... OK for Zombies

Well....  It was OK.

Relatively entertaining...
but not awesome.

What's really disappointing here is that this movie had great potential!  Great cast, interesting idea, but it fell short for me. 

They spent way too much time on character development, and not enough time on cool, freaky zombie action.  There was an entire section in the middle of the film where we "got to know" the characters.  The problem is, we don't care that much.  We went to see a zombie film!!  I'm all for drama and character development... in the right film.  In this movie I wanted more freaky, scary zombie stuff.

All in all, I still enjoyed myself, and the cast was wonderful; but you can wait for this one to come to video.

Criss Angel: Believe - SUCK FESTIVAL

To say that this show was a SUCK FEST would be too generous!

When I was first introduced to Criss Angel via his TV show Mindfreak, I was hooked!!  I thought... wow, this guy could be the real deal, Houdini re-incarnate, the truth behind the show...

Then I saw his live show in Vegas.  We spent money on great seats, we got dressed up, and we were ready to be impressed.

Instead we found a totally rigged stage, that was so obvious it was embarrassing.  There wasn't any MAGIC!!!  There was ONE, count them ONE actual "mindfreak" type trick where he guessed some information about a woman in the audience.  Other than that... NOTHING!  Just totally fake, rigged, non-magic.  For example... [spoiler alert!] ... the "grand finale" was Criss being sawed in half... um... we've seen that before, and it looked really fake.  Seriously Criss... you seem like such a nice person, with a lot of talent, charisma, and obvious good karma... what were you thinking??!!!

And shame on you Cirque du Soleil!!!  I loved your shows... until now!  This was "supposedly" a Cirque show.  But instead of the usual mind blowing acrobatics, feats of un-human strength, and grand artistic movements; they had cheesy dancing, and two main female characters that did not do much more than strut around the stage for no apparent reason.  To be fair, one of the female leads did a pretty cool acrobatic thing in the air.  And, SOME of the dancing was quite good.  (I liked the bunny number.)  But other than that... dissapointment parade.

In short... DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOW!  Save your money for something important... like gambling... it will be better spent!
